The compaction is achieved thanks to the pressure exerted by the press roller on the flat die having perforations with conicity in the first section. This form that has the perforation causes that the concentrate that is pushed with 20 tons of pressure abruptly reduces its volume and compacts. Some materials, no matter how hard they are pressed, do not compact if they do not have a certain state of humidity and temperature. That is to say that in these materials apart from working the extrusion pressure, some type of binder must also work to be able to become a pellet of balanced food.

That is not a problem for our machines since the balanced feed for most animals the components of the diet contain some binder such as corn that has starches, but in almost all cases it will be necessary to precondition the concentrate to be able to make the pellet.

Any mixture can be pelleted if it is worked correctly, it can even be added depending on the diet pastures, grains, kernels, minerals, vitamins etc. Without altering the nutritional composition, for that the machine has to be very well designed so that the friction does not remove the properties, avoiding the high temperatures that in machines of low quality is a very common problem the lack of temperature control.

The work of the Meelko machines is guaranteed so that in the manufacture of pellets of concentrates does not exceed 70 - 80 degrees, and remains stable to achieve high quality production.

The pre-conditioning is the way to prepare the feed for animals with the correct humidity before entering it in the machine so that the work is optimal with good yield, ideal temperature, with production at the limit of the machine with controlled energy expenditure.

Although the conditioning of each producer is going to be learned in time when he is taking experience on his concentrate, it is essential for the final quality that he wants in his balanced pellet.

What is this about the conditioner?

Well, the mix you have normally prepared according to the state of your raw materials is in 9 to 10% humidity, and the pelletizer according to the mix needs 13 or 14% to do a good job, that's why you should add some moisture and make a good mix to hydrate the mixture before making the pellets.

Once the pellet is ready, what we must be sure of is that before storing this cold at room temperature, to ensure that the food when stored is free of moisture, the high temperature in the pellets when they are newly manufactured, if we pile them hot can cause humidity and of course early decomposition.
